Advances in NLP lead to great things, and too much hype stretches expectations with reality, causing those great things to appear mixed in with the crumbled expectations.

What else could happen due to ‘bad AI hype’?

AI incites anthropomorphic responses, which may catch us all, however bad hype could lead to personal distrust and prejudice of great things.

What philosophy of technology does this site take?

Great things come with time (+ maybe a little reasonable hype), but great things also come with bad actors of whose prevention will likely be the AI Safety topics of the future.
